Can you make me a rendering of what I am going to get?
Yes, for certain applications like custom work or trim collections we are happy to present you with a rendering for your approval. Here is a sample.
Do you have a catalog you can send me?
As our product offering is changing all the time we have decided to just publish to the web. If you don't see what you are looking for, let us know and we'll see what we can do for you.
How do I place an order or get a quote?
We happily provide quotations by e-mail or phone, just click the "request pricing" button next to the relative item and we will respond typically within 24 hours. We prefer e-mail for quotations for tracking purposes and it makes it easier to research your pricing from our catalog of 100s of items without you holding on the phone. However, we will happily take your quote request over the phone, we just may need to call you back. To place an order, however just give us a call, we take credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) over the phone. We typically ship UPS ground. At the completion of the order we e-mail shipping information and invoices. We can take checks on a COD or prepayment basis.
I am interested in updating the moldings around my windows. I have a 1908 home where the original moldings have been taken off. Any suggestions?
We can reproduce custom period moldings directly for short runs (100-200') or we can offer the services of an established millwright, Architectural Millwork and Manufacturing here in Eugene, Oregon, www.archmillwork.com for larger order requirements.
I own a store and am very interested in carrying your wood carved products. How do I proceed?
As of today, we are not offering a dealer program. If you are interested in carrying our carved wood products, we provide wholesale discounts for larger purchases. Please contact us for more information.
What are your lead times?
Typical lead times for orders are 7-10 days for standard designs. Heartwood's products are manufactured at our facility in Oregon using sophisticated machinery and software that allow us to turn orders fast. We will happily review delivery times when orders are placed.
What is the difference between your carved wood products and what I can get at my local remodel store?
We invite you to explore our carved wood Products section. When you see and handle our products you will be impressed by the quality of our woods and the sophistication of our designs. At Heartwood, we carve solid wood compared to the common board or mdf embossed or carved available at your local store. If you have other questions, whether they be about ornamental carvings, architectural details, or any other wood carving-related questions, please contact us. We encourage our customers and website visitors to find out more about us. Customer service is our top priority!
What is the minimum order?
For most items $50 is the minimum order. If any customization is required the fee, if applicable, is charged extra, and we may charge a deposit depending on the job size.
What type of stain or finish should I use?
The type of stain or finish depends on a number of factors and we have found lacquers, wood oils, polyurethanes, latex or oil paints all have their advantages and disadvantages and since they together with plenty of information are commonly found at Home Depot, Lowe's or your neighborhood wood crafting store we encourage you to TEST TEST TEST. This will save you valuable time and money. If you are still unsure consult a carpenter or other wood professional in your area.
