This carved corner block features the Acanthus Leaf. The Acanthus Leaf is a very classic form dating to ancient times and is elegantly coupled with a pair of decorative swirls and placed on top of a rounded column. This type of plaque is appropriate for adorning columns and pilasters as a capital when applied to a top block in a window or door trim setting.
